Quick housekeeping: I said weekly updates last time I wrote to you. Turns out I like building more than writing. Going forward you'll hear from me when I ship something worth your attention. Better deal for both of us.

Hodgepodge is now live!

In my last post, I wrote about making my todo list public and how it accidentally became a way to stay close to friends. A handful of you replied asking to be on the waitlist for "a lightweight version of this designed to share with friends."

That thing exists now. It's called hodgepodge.

Every day, it asks you three things: what's on your plate today, one photo, and some thoughts. Two minutes. Then you see what your people posted.

I built it because nothing else worked. Productivity apps made my todo list feel like a job. Social apps wanted me to perform. I just wanted to check in with my day and share it with the people who actually care.

What I didn't expect: it became the most consistent habit I have. Within a week it stopped feeling like something I had to remember…it just became part of my morning. Writing down a few tasks makes me more intentional about the day. And knowing my friends can see what I wrote makes me actually do the stuff.

After a few weeks, you have this quiet record of your actual life. Not a highlight reel. Just what you were really doing and thinking about on a random Wednesday. Scroll back a month and you'll remember things you'd already forgotten.

But the best part of the whole thing is how much closer I feel to my friends. Things I'd never have known about my friends' days are now just there. The errands. The small wins. The thing they couldn't stop thinking about. Stuff you'd tell each other if you still lived down the hall, surfacing naturally.

I want to see what you're up to. Here’s your invite to join → hodgepodge.club

And if you're the kind of person who does nice things for people who build things in their pajamas:

Leave a review on the App Store or Google Play

It takes 90 seconds and means more than you know.

Three other things I'm building

If any of these sound like you, reply with a 👋 and which one. I'll add you to the beta list:

🎯 Word game addict: I'm building a set of word games you can play with friends in iMessage. Early and scrappy, reply if you want to test it.

🗽 NYC local: I'm building a smarter events discovery tool so you stop missing the things you'd actually love. Personalized, not algorithmic slop.

🪞 Self-reflection nerd: I'm building a 100% local voice-first journaling app powered by AI that helps you understand yourself, not just log your thoughts.

See ya out there,
